Adult/Baby/Toddler/Kid Activities (3-year-olds)

My granddaughter Alex was born in December 2018.
Here are things we do at different ages.
I want to keep track of them!

This page covers 3-year-olds (from about 36 months to 48 months).

Activities for other ages:
newborn to 24 months
2-year-olds

Christmas 2021
(Alex turned 3 in December 2021)
Alex's Christmas gift from us was a workbench and accessories!
Carol embroidered the apron:
woodworker, inventor, engineer, mechanic, fixer-upper, scientist, tinkerer, mathematician, statistician, thinker, doer, hard work = success, ingenuity, teacher

January 2022
Write a letter!
I broke my wrist playing badminton
on Christmas Day 2021,
so we had about a month
without Grandma/Alex days ☹
But I wrote to her!

February 2022
Build a really, really tall flower

February 2022
Alex wants pockets on everything these days.
This is a fun, basic sewing project to do together.

March 1, 2022 (1 min 7 sec)
Pedaling a tricycle by herself!

March 2022
Make a necklace
Yes, that's a regular, sharp beading needle!
She is able to be very careful.

March 2022
Dress up!
(Those are Grandma's jeans she has on, using kitchen clips to hold them up.)

March 2022
Make forts
An overturned rocker makes a great fort!
We often hang blankets for fort-making, too.

April 2022
Magna-tiles and Trains
I just discovered Magna-tiles. They're amazing, and currently Alex's go-to toy!

April 2022
Alex now uses the adult swing a lot
(though she still likes the toddler swing, too).

April 2022
Alex loves this twirly thing.
She spins around and around and around...
(Can't find it for sale anymore, though.)

April 2022
Alex is now an expert on
the ‘flippy-floppiest’ ladder!

April 2022
Big Box Forts
This was the big box that a
toddler picnic table came in.
Alex moved in as soon as
the picnic table pieces moved out!

April 2022
Rock Wall Climbing
Alex scrambles up and down
like a monkey!

April 2022
A picnic table is great for snacks, crafts,
and just taking a rest.
