• lady should initiate height of arch (high enough to avoid her head)
• What if lady doesn't want to raise her arm?
  Or, what if lady is too tall for man's arm to reach?
  In both cases:
  dancers release handhold;
  gesture with fingertips at an imaginary arch
• compare with a same-facing trade (same body motion, different arms)
