I was raised Catholic: my mother was Catholic from birth, and my father was an enthusiastic convert when I was about ten years old.
In 2011 I married into an LDS (
Latter-
Day
Saint) family, and now support their lifestyle.
I am spiritual, but not a member of any particular church. I have three foundational beliefs:
-
There is a creator (God). The world works too well to exist by chance.
Being ‘of God’ and ‘good’ are
equivalent, so trust God with everything.
- Love everyone—be patient and kind.
- We have a responsibility to use our God-given talents to help the world.
Here's the simplest version of my guiding principles: trust God, be good, work hard.
Over the past few years, my husband (Ray) and
I have had many insightful discussions, as I've sought to expand my understanding of
things spiritual. These are shared with the hope that others might benefit.
Anything of a spiritual nature that you find helpful almost certainly came from Ray.
