Facing Couples Rule

A few calls that are defined to start from an ocean wave (#8 and #9) can also start from facing couples (#6).

The Rule:
  • dancers step first into a momentary right-hand ocean wave;
    then complete the call
  • if caller directs a left-hand call:
    dancers step first into a momentary left-hand ocean wave;
    then complete the call
Basic 2
if swing thru ↑
or left swing thru ↓
is called
from facing couples,
then the
‘facing couples rule’ applies: 		first,
step to an
ocean wave ... 		... and then
complete the call
as usual ... 		... giving
the normal ending
for a swing thru
