What did you just see?
In this example, all sorts of STUFF happens on the first three counts. Then, on count four, he freezes in whatever ridiculous position he reached on count three! A HOLD can occur on other counts, too. The music keeps going.
Why is nothing so difficult?
A hold is not an extra step, a touch, or a sneaky shift of weight. You must resist the urge to fill the beat. The next movement begins when the choreography directs it.
