STEAK DIANE

Like most of my recipes—I've made them for decades, and don't remember where they came from.
We don't have this often, because it uses (expensive) steak.
When we splurge, it's delicious!
INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 Tb minced onion (scallions are good!)
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- ⅛ tsp salt
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ cup butter
- 2 Tb snipped parsley
- 2 Tb butter
- 1 lb beef tenderlion (or rib eye steak)
PREPARATION:
-
Cook and stir mushrooms, onion, garlic, salt, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce in ¼ cup butter until mushrooms are tender.
Stir in parsley; keep sauce warm.
-
Melt 2 Tb butter in
skillet.
Turning once, cook tenderloin slices over medium-high heat to medium doneness,
about 34 minutes on each side.
Serve with mushroom-butter sauce.
-
Delicious with zucchini and
twice-baked potatoes!
