My daughter Julia loves this casserole!
It's super simple and yummy.
If you're crunched for time (like on Thanksgiving),
you can mix the soup/milk/pepper/beans together in
the casserole dish and refrigerate;
but don't add the french
fried onions until you're ready to put in the oven (or they'll get soggy).
The 2.8 oz size can of French's French Fried Onions is perfect for this recipe.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
-
Mix together in a casserole:
[Carol: use the 7 cup Anchor Hocking dish]
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz)
- ¾ cup milk
- ⅛ tsp black pepper
-
Stir in:
- 2 cans green beans (each 14.5 oz), drained
- ⅔ cup French's French Fried Onions
- Bake 25 minutes, until bubbly.
- Stir; top with ⅔ cups french fried onions.
- Bake an additional 5 minutes (until onions are golden).
