In
the exercise on this page, your toddler will practice matching a small number of objects (from $\,1\,$ to $\,5\,$)
with the correct numeral (typed from the keyboard).
I wrote this exercise for my granddaughter (
Alex).
At 22 months, she's not quite ready for it.
She's more interested in telling me what the objects are, rather than counting them!
As soon as it becomes age-appropriate for her, I'll update this page with the information.
My
Toddler Math Resources page has a small-number game that is perfect for Alex at 22 months!
How to Play
-
Select the number(s) to practice with (by default, $\,1\,,$ $\,2\,$ and $\,3\,$).
-
Click the ‘NEW PROBLEM’ button.
-
Key in the correct number (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) from your keyboard.
Only one character is accepted, since inexperienced fingers tend to hold keys down (producing things like ‘111111111’).
-
Click ‘CHECK YOUR ANSWER’.
Alternatively, press the ‘Enter’ key to check.
- Press ENTER again for a new problem.
